Established in 1986 The Avenue Physiotherapy Centre was initially a practice focused on orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation, working with the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group and providing services to The Avenue Hospital.

Since then we have diversified and now offer a wider range of services to the local community of Prahran, Windsor, and the surrounding suburbs.

We place a very strong focus on:

All patients are welcome: private patients, patients under Worksafe, TAC or DVA, patients with a CDM plan (formerly EPC), and NDIS participants.

Principal Physiotherapist: Craig Steventon

Craig graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy (with Honours) in 1993, and then returned to post-graduate studies in 2006, completing a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy. He has worked in a variety of public hospitals, private hospitals and private practices. He joined The Avenue Physiotherapy Centre practice in 2002, and then in 2007 became the principal physiotherapist. He has a special interest in lower limb injuries, largely due to the many knee injuries he sustained in his younger years! His approach to physiotherapy has therefore been influenced by at various times being both the consumer as well as the therapist.

Craig is registered with AHPRA (the health professional's regulating body), a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, a member of Sports Medicine Australia, and is an approved provider for Worksafe, TAC and DVA.

He was extremely professional, took time and patience to explain to me what exactly was going on with my ankle and gave me options for healing. I would highly recommend him.

We provide physiotherapy services to self-, plan-, and NDIA-managed participants in our clinic or in their home.
